In Character How do I make a character? Well, it depends. Do you want to make a mutant, a non-mutant, or a temporary character? Each section in the applications, even the summaries, explain what you need to do to create a character.
How many characters can I have? You can have up to 10 characters. This means you can have 5 mutant/main characters and 5 non-mutant/temporary characters, but you can't have MORE than 5 of either.
What is a canon character? A canon character is a character that was made before this site was even thought of. People like Wolverine, Rogue, Bishop, Cyclops, Storm, etc. Those are canons.
Why is there so much sex around here? TNG is a place for the hoes.
I just made a new character. Where do I start roleplaying? Usually, if you created a character, it's best to start downtown and eventually make your way to somewhere like the X-Factor base, X-Mansion or Brotherhood Sanctuary. Find someplace active and start a conversation.
How do storylines work? There are two kinds of storylines. Universal storylines (a storyline that affects the whole board) and Minor storylines (storylines that affect a few people or maybe just one person). When a Universal storyline takes place, it will usually be put in the news fader and a mass PM will be sent to all members. A minor storyline is constructed by a few people. Consult each other before the storyline and plan things out... or just wing it.
What if I want to do a storyline from a movie? Consult me (Whirlpool) and I'll usually give you the okay. However, the same movie-storyline cannot be used twice. If someone wanted to do a storyline similar to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", no one else would be able to do that.
Out Of Character
I can't log into the actual site. It keeps logging me back out. FTW? 9 times out of 10, it's because you're reaching us from a proxy. However, there is a chance that your cookies simply won't allow it. Go to Tools and then Internet Options from wherever you can access it from (usually Internet Explorer) and make sure your security setting isn't above Medium-High... and make sure TNG is allowed to place cookies on your computer.
Is this site kid-friendly? ...Are you feeling lucky?
